Fuik Beach

About

Tucked away on Curaçao’s southeast coast near Newport, Fuik Beach feels like one of the island’s hidden escapes — peaceful, natural, and beautifully different from the more developed beaches. What makes Fuik special is its location inside Fuik Bay: calm turquoise water surrounded by low hills and untouched shoreline. During the week, it feels quiet and remote — perfect if you’re looking for nature, a swim, and a break from busy beach clubs. The bay is sheltered, so the water is usually calm and inviting. Fuik is famous island-wide for Fuikdag, Curaçao’s legendary boat gathering held on the first Sunday of the year. On that day the bay transforms into one giant floating celebration, with boats, music, swimming, and a festive local atmosphere. Outside of that, Fuik returns to being peaceful and laid-back. A lot of people visit by boat, kayak, or paddleboard, and the ride there is part of the experience. The coastline feels more wild than many other Curaçao beaches, with beautiful open-water views and a more untouched Caribbean vibe.
