About

Playa Hundu, also known as "Deep Beach," is a rugged, secluded cove on the northwest coast of Curaçao, near the village of Soto and the Groot Santa Martha estate. This hidden beach offers a completely natural and undeveloped experience, accessible via a dirt road that branches off from the main road near Santa Martha Bay. The beach is named for its deep, clear water which drops off quickly from the shore, making it popular with divers and confident swimmers. The surrounding landscape is dramatic — rocky cliffs, cactus-covered hills, and wild coastline create a striking backdrop. Snorkeling and diving are excellent here, with healthy coral formations and a variety of marine life. There are no facilities at Playa Hundu — no food, water, restrooms, or shade — so visitors must bring everything they need. The beach is rarely visited, offering near-guaranteed solitude even on weekends. Water shoes are recommended due to the rocky and coral-strewn entry. Playa Hundu is perfect for adventurous travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path beach experience that showcases Curaçao's raw, unspoiled coastal beauty.
