Ask me anything about Marie Pampoen Beach.
Marie Pampoen Beach is a small, unassuming beach just east of Mambo Beach and about 10 minutes from downtown Willemstad. While the beach itself may not look remarkable at first glance, it is what lies beneath the surface that makes this spot special. Marie Pampoen is home to an excellent underwater world, with a protected jetty area used by local dive shops including Twin Divers and Sea Trek for training and guided dives. Frequent fish feeding in the area has created an unusually large and friendly fish population, making it one of the best beginner snorkeling spots on the island. The water is calm and shallow near the shore, gradually deepening toward the reef. The beach has free parking and is easily accessible from Willemstad. There is little shade and no amenities directly on the beach, but the proximity to Mambo Beach means food and facilities are just a short walk away. Marie Pampoen is ideal for snorkelers and divers who want an easy shore entry with abundant marine life, and for visitors who prefer a quieter, more local beach experience close to the city.
