Ask me anything about Playa Largu.
Playa Largu is an eastern beach on the Landhuis San Juan property, conjoined with Playa Dushi as part of the same coastal stretch in the Sint Willibrordus area. This beach features an all-coral shoreline with a healthy reef that offers some of the best snorkeling on the San Juan property, particularly near the point where the reef is most vibrant. The access road to the Largu-Dushi area is the most challenging drive on the island — a rough dirt track that requires a 4WD vehicle and careful navigation. Water shoes are essential due to the coral surface. The entrance fee to the San Juan property covers access to all six beaches. Playa Largu is characterized by pristine turquoise water, abundant marine life, and almost total seclusion. There are no facilities on-site — visitors should bring water, snacks, and all snorkel equipment. The beach is ideal for experienced snorkelers who want to explore untouched reef far from the crowds. The combination of challenging access, natural beauty, and excellent underwater conditions makes Playa Largu a hidden gem for adventurous beachgoers in Curaçao.
