Boka Tabla – Sea Cave

Boka Tabla is a spectacular sea cave inside Shete Boka National Park on Curaçao's rugged north coast, where visitors can walk underground into a cavern and watch the Atlantic Ocean thunder in through a sea arch below. This is one of the most dramatic natural attractions on the island — the roar of the waves inside the cave is incredible, and during high tide the power of the ocean is on full display as water erupts through narrow rock fissures. The cave is accessible via a short walk from the Shete Boka parking area, with steps leading down into the cavern. Non-slip shoes are essential as the rocks are wet and slippery. Early morning offers the best light through the cave opening, creating dramatic photo opportunities. Boka Tabla is one of the seven inlets (shete boka means "seven mouths") that give the national park its name. A small entry fee is charged at the park gate. The cave can be combined with visits to other bokas in the park, including the famous Supladó blowhole and Boka Hulu. Boka Tabla is a must-see natural wonder that showcases the raw power of the Atlantic Ocean against Curaçao's dramatic north coast, and is one of the most memorable natural experiences on the island.
