Landhuis Dokterstuin

About

Landhuis Dokterstuin is a historic Curaçao plantation house on the road to Westpunt, almost opposite Landhuis Ascension. The Dokterstuin plantation was already in use in the 17th century, while the present landhuis probably dates from the late 18th century. It was restored in 1996. In the second half of the 19th century the estate was government-owned and small plots were leased to formerly enslaved people to encourage agriculture. Today the landhuis is associated with a Creole restaurant.

• Do not confuse Landhuis Dokterstuin with the Curaçao Aloe Vera Farm, which is a separate attraction.
• Check current restaurant opening hours before making a special trip.
