Boka Patrick is one of Curaçao's hidden north coast gems, known for its wild scenery, dramatic waves, rugged cliffs, and untouched natural beauty. Located near the village of Barber on the island's rough northern coastline, this remote boka (inlet) offers a completely different side of Curaçao compared to the calm turquoise beaches on the south coast. The area is famous for powerful Atlantic waves crashing into the rocky shoreline, natural hiking trails, hidden coves, and nearby natural formations like Supladó and Pul di Padiki. The dramatic contrast between the wild north coast and the tranquil south coast beaches is one of the most striking aspects of Curaçao's geography. Swimming is not recommended at Boka Patrick due to strong currents and rough sea conditions, but the area is a perfect destination for adventure lovers, drone photography, hiking, and exploring Curaçao's raw Caribbean landscape. There are no facilities and almost no shade — visitors should bring water, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes for the rocky terrain. Boka Patrick is best visited early morning or late afternoon to avoid extreme heat. Some trails are not clearly marked, so offline maps are recommended. The area can be combined with visits to Supladó, Boca Ascension, and Pul di Padiki for a full north coast adventure.
