Ask me anything about Marfa’s Good Hangout.
Marfa's Good Hangout is a beloved local institution in Sint Willibrordus (affectionately known as "Williwood"), combining a toko (minimarket), bar, information center, and souvenir shop into one vibrant community hub. Marfa Wawoe has grown Toko St. Willibrordus from the small minimarket it was in 2008 into the main attraction of the entire Sint Willibrordus area, creating a gathering place that embodies the warm, authentic spirit of Curaçao's western countryside. Visitors can enjoy a cool drink at the bar, purchase the original Williwood T-shirts and fan items, and get local information about nearby beaches, flamingo viewing spots, and attractions. Marfa's features many special themed nights throughout the week, including BBQ nights, lobster nights, karaoke, and Marfa's special night — each drawing locals and tourists together for food, drinks, music, and community. The atmosphere is genuinely local and welcoming, offering visitors a chance to experience Curaçaoan hospitality far from the resort areas. Marfa's Good Hangout is the perfect stop on the way to or from western beaches like Cas Abao, Daaibooi, and Porto Marie, or after visiting the nearby flamingo observation tower and Williwood Sign. It is also an excellent base for exploring the Sint Willibrordus area, with Marfa herself often serving as an informal guide and ambassador for the region.
