Watamula Blowhole

About

Watamula is a rugged coastal geological area near Curaçao's northwestern tip. Porous limestone, cavities and strong wave action create visible and audible movement of air and seawater through the rock. This surface attraction should be kept distinct from the offshore Watamula dive site.

Tips

• Best at high tide with strong northerly swell
• Stand back – the spray can be powerful
• Combine with Shete Boka for a full north coast day
• Virtually no tourists here

How to get there

Drive to the very northwestern tip of the island past Westpunt. Road becomes rough near the end.
