Ask me anything about Playa Kalki (Alice in Wonderland).
Playa Kalki, also known as Alice in Wonderland, is a small pebble beach at the very northwestern tip of Curaçao in Westpunt, named after the famous dive site just offshore. This beach is renowned for its incredible underwater topography, featuring unique mushroom coral formations that give the dive site its Wonderland name. A dive shop is located on-site, offering equipment rental and guided dives for those wanting to explore the reef. The beach itself is more suited for snorkeling and diving than sunbathing, with a rocky entry that requires water shoes. The water is exceptionally clear, and the reef starts just meters from shore, making it one of the most accessible shore diving spots on the island. Playa Kalki is located at the end of the paved road in Westpunt, about 50 minutes from Willemstad, with limited parking available. The beach is very quiet and peaceful, attracting mainly divers and snorkelers rather than casual beachgoers. The famous mushroom coral formations and the proximity to deep water mean interesting marine life can be spotted here, including occasional deep-water species. Playa Kalki is a must-visit for underwater enthusiasts exploring Curaçao's western coast.
